USING ESCROW.COM FOR A MICRO-DEAL (as of 26 Oct 2026) 1. Either side opens the transaction at escrow.com ("Domain name" or "General merchandise" → describe the business). Buyer and seller each register with real identity; both get verified. 2. Set the inspection period to 3–5 days. This is the time the buyer has, after the seller marks the transfer complete, to check that domain, code, hosting and payment accounts actually work under the buyer's control. 3. Buyer pays Escrow.com by wire (cards/PayPal only under $5,000, +3.05%). Escrow.com confirms "funds secured". Only now does the seller start transferring anything. 4. Seller transfers assets, then marks the transaction as "delivered". Buyer inspects and accepts, or raises a dispute inside the window. Escrow.com releases funds to the seller after acceptance. 5. Fees (USD standard tier): 2.6% with a $50 minimum up to $5,000; 2.4% with a $130 minimum up to $50,000; 1.9% with a $1,200 minimum up to $200,000. Wire payout $10 US / $20 international. Agree who pays before opening; "split 50/50" is the norm here. 6. Never transfer a domain, repo or Stripe account before Escrow.com shows funds secured. Never accept "I'll pay the rest after". NextFounder is not an escrow agent and never holds funds. We only track the transaction's status in the deal room.
